Power – Hungry? There is some great chicken at Les’ Bar. where you’ll get an honest small-town Montana experience. You’ll find the only distillery in the region here, Alazana Montana! One day, when the aging process is complete, they will open the doors to a tasting room.

Conrad – Home to Montana-made Windrift Hill. Stop in and peruse their extensive collection of goat milk lotions and soaps (made from their own goat’s milk), shower steamers, lip balms, butters, and oils.

>Pendroy – This town bustled in 1916. Now, like so many others, it’s a piece of history. It’s home to the Box R Bar, if you need to wet your whistle or grab something to eat.

Choteau – A great community along the Rocky Mountain front and The Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex. This area, which includes Glacier National Park, is comprised of 2.5 million acres. The northern continental divide area is home to the largest population of grizzly bears outside of Alaska and Canada, about 1,000. Stop into the Old Trail Museum to learn the history of the trail and dinosaurs that once roamed the area.

Freezeout Lake Wildlife Management Area – A renowned staging area for 300,000 snow geese and 10,000 tundra swans to rest before flying onward.

Fairfield – The Malting Barley Capital of the Worldwith 83,000 acres of irrigated crop land and 56,000 non-irrigated acres in production to make beer! The huge grain silos along the highway are mostly earmarked for Budweiser production. Mmmmm beer!
