Great Falls is the perfect place to celebrate Independence Day! Packed with events and fun for the whole family, we have a non-stop 4th of July itinerary for you!
- First up, head downtown for the Independence Day parade, starting at 11:00 a.m.
- Stick around for the FREE 4th of July Hootenanny featuring Rodney Atkins at the corner of Central Avenue and 5th Street!
- Enjoy America’s pastime as the Great Falls Voyagers play the Glacier Range Riders.
- See who is the Fastest in the Falls at the Electric City Speedway!
- There’s a variety of options to watch fireworks, including at the 4th of July Fireworks Viewing Party at Eagle Falls Golf Course.

Aside from Independence Day happenings, here are some events you can only find in Great Falls, Montana this July:
- The Great Falls Theatre Company brings The Music Man to the stage for six performances.
- Check out the annual Kite Festival at First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park!
- Enjoy hands on demonstration from artists at Saddles & Spurs at C.M. Russell Museum.
- Take an educated evening stroll with a Guided Walking Tour of the Northside neighborhood.
- Place your bets and watch the dirt fly during multiple weekends of Horse Racing at Montana ExpoPark!
- The Montana State Fair gets underway with food, rides, carnival fun, rodeo action, and performances by Starship and Foghat, Bush, Trade Adkins, and more!
The Brother Van House Museum, one our our 12 museums in Great Falls, is available to tour year-round; but this month the museum has extended consistent hours. Learn about Brother Van for free between Tuesday-Friday from 1:00-4:00 p.m. July 9th – August 2nd, 2024. - Downtown Night Markets happen once a month this summer, including in July.
- The Great Falls Municipal Band plays most Wednesday evenings during the summer.
- Jump Talk every Sunday through August at First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park.
- Trivia in the Park every Tuesday at Giant Springs State Park.
