Only in June in Great Falls!

June is one of our favorite months to be in Great Falls!  The average temperature is in the mid-70s (Fahrenheit) and it’s the best time to view our five falls – especially THE Great Falls.  So how do you get there?  We’re happy you asked.  We put together this video to show you!

A few events that continue throughout the summer kick off in June:

• The Great Falls Farmers’ Market has more than 130 vendors on display downtown every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. through the end of September.
• Downtown Night Markets happen once a month in June, July, and August.
• The Great Falls Municipal Band plays most Wednesday evenings during the summer.
• The Downtown Summer Jam series kicks off in June with three total outdoor concerts this summer.

Here are some events you can only find in Great Falls, Montana this June:

• Watch some of the best bull riders in the world at the 19th Dusty Gliko Bull Riding.
• Enjoy a rare opportunity to hike or bike across Cochrane Dam.
• Narcotic Wasteland makes their only Montana stop at The Newberry.
• Sample beers from across Montana, enjoy tap takeovers and more during Craft Beer Week and Montana Brew Fest.
• Eat all the tacos while listening to live music at the Taco Takedown.
• Ride along the scenic Recreation Road in the canyon south of Great Falls with the Cascade 66 Bike Race.
• Watch barrel racing, bull riding, tie down roping and more at the two-day 64th Belt PRCA Rodeo.
• The Brewhaha Run Series continues in June, this time at Annie’s Tap House.

Did you know the Corps of Discovery spent their most time, outside of winter camp, in the Great Falls area?  Every summer, the Lewis and Clark Festival gives a glimpse into the expedition with encampment demonstrations, bullboat exhibit, living history exhibits, and so much more.  This two-day event provides fun and education for the whole family!

 

Don’t forget, the Great Falls Voyagers (including Sunday Brunch & Baseball) are in action throughout the summer, and you can watch some high speed dirt track racing at the Electric City Speedway!
