First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park Interpretive Center

Only in November in Great Falls!

November kicks off with a celebration of our official national mammal, the bison!  November 2nd is National Bison Day, and there are plenty of ways to honor the largest land animal in North America. You can learn about the fascinating history of the bison at First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park.  This is also where you can safely pet a bison any time of the year!  In fact, you’re encouraged to feel the fur inside the interpretive center!  For an artistic take on bison, go on the “Great Buffalo Hunt” and find over 20 painted bison statues around Great Falls, including the most famous one, “RainBuffalo,” along the River’s Edge Trail!
