Great Falls, Montana competes regionally and nationally with over 450 destinations to secure commitments for business. Organizers are dealing with the pressure of budgets, increased costs, attendees’ desire for local experiences, and producing return on investment. We have found that an incentive can sway the decision in Great Falls’ favor.

Great Falls Montana Tourism staff will offer planners incentives to select Great Falls, at their discretion in relation to the perceived economic impact of the project. Only one incentive is available per project and incentives cannot be combined with a Sponsorship. Below is a look at current incentives:

First Timer Cash Incentive

Book a first-time meeting in Great Falls, with the support of Great Falls Montana Tourism and Great Falls Montana Tourism will forgo it’s revenue, or take a loss, to provide the booking organization funds for every room actualized. The cash incentive is only available starting at 150 actualized total room nights. Needs times will be prioritized with a higher incentive.

• Minimum of 150 actualized total room nights.
• Not available for group/bus tours.
• Organizer must use a service provided by Great Falls Montana Tourism.
• Great Falls Montana Tourism must receive the incentive submission no less than 90 days before the meeting will occur.
• Needs Times are when occupancy percentage is historically 50% or below for the duration of the meeting and no other major events are scheduled at the same time.
• Incentive will be paid direct to organization after the event occurs and the actual rooms picked up are verified by the contracted and approved hotel property.
• Incentive will be paid directly to the association or organization hosting the event after room pick-up is recorded.
• Incentive funds are subject to availability and will be awarded on a first-come-first-served basis. Program cannot be combined with any other services or financial benefits.
• Incentive will be paid within 60 days after the event has occurred contingent on Great Falls Montana Tourism and hotel receiving final room night totals and all supporting paperwork required for payment processing.
• Incentive Program is capped at $4,000.

Site Visit Incentive

Great Falls Montana Tourism will reimburse airfare up to $500 to meeting planners who travel to Great Falls for a site visit for a qualified request for proposal (RFP) for distribution to our lodging properties/venue properties.

The RFP must be for a minimum of 100 sleeping room nights in Great Falls at one of our lodging properties who collect TBID Assessments. Airfare will be reimbursed after the site visit and upon Great Falls Montana Tourism’s receipt of the paid airfare itinerary receipt. Reimbursement for airfare will be extended to one representative per qualified RFP. Restrictions apply.

VIP Incentive

Show special guests coming to a meeting/convention in Great Falls extra attention with a custom-made Great Falls products gift basket.

• Value of up to $100 per VIP
• List of VIPS provide by meeting planner
• Limit 10 VIPs
• Gift baskets delivered to hotel for placement in VIP room

Reception Incentive

Welcome attendees or thank them for coming with a creative reception. Reception planning must include Great Falls Montana Tourism staff and uniquely feature Great Falls. Limit of $1,500

Experience Incentive

Offer a memorable experience as part of a pre or post agenda itinerary. For 20 people or less. Up to $2,500. Limited to experiences developed in partnership by Great Falls Montana Tourism.

Referral Incentive

Great Falls Champions make a complete referral of a lead for a convention or meeting they attended outside of Great Falls will be entered into a quarterly prize drawing for a chance to win a $100 gift card to a local restaurant or attraction.

If the referral results in a bid proposal, the Champion will automatically receive a $100 gift card to a local business.
