Daniel Black is a Montreal-based American conductor and composer. He concluded a highly successful four-year tenure as the Resident Conductor of the Florida Orchestra In 2022. He was the Associate Conductor of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra for three years, and has received three Career Assistance Awards from the Solti Foundation.

Step into a world of drama, beauty, and hope with this powerful concert led by Music Director candidate Daniel Black. The program opens with the darkly atmospheric Manfred Overture by Schumann, inspired by Byron’s haunting tale of inner torment and mystery. After intermission, the mood lifts with Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8, a joyful celebration of nature, melody, and the vibrant spirit of Bohemia—closing the evening with warmth and exuberance. Doors open at 6:30pm
