Red Not Chili Peppers

Based in Ocean Beach, the Red Not Chili Peppers are a high-energy RHCP tribute band stacked with vets from Deaf Zero, JUNK!, Twerp, and the Mind. They rip through 20–30 songs a night, easy.
Formed in 2009 after bassist (and Flea doppelgänger) Jonathan Savage posted a Craigslist ad, the band clicked fast—drummer Izzy auditioned the same day, and it was on. Fronted by Jubilee Olivas as Anthony Kiedis and backed by ex-metalhead Kenny Kim on guitar, the Red Nots tore through clubs from San Diego to L.A.
By 2010, they were already nominated for Best Tribute Band at the San Diego Music Awards—pretty solid for a Craigslist love story. Door opens at 6:30PM.
