Night Terrors: Four Gothic Tales

Some stories are better left untold. Unfortunately, these aren’t those stories.

Act Normal Theatre invites you to step into the shadows with Night Terrors: Four Gothic Tales, an evening of creeping dread, deliciously dark storytelling, and the kind of psychological horror that makes you question every creak in your house.

Set against the haunting atmosphere of the historic Ursuline Centre, four chilling classics take the stage: Edgar Allan Poe’s The Tell-Tale Heart, W. W. Jacobs’ The Monkey’s Paw, The Old Portrait, and Charlotte Perkins Gilman’s The Yellow Wallpaper. From guilt that refuses to stay buried to wishes that come with a wicked price, these tales explore the darkest corners of the human mind—and what happens when curiosity gets the better of us.

Expect eerie encounters, unsettling secrets, and a creeping sense that something is very, very wrong. After all, the scariest monsters aren’t always hiding under the bed. Sometimes, they’re already inside your head.

So gather your courage, leave the night-light on, and join Act Normal Theatre for a Gothic experience that proves some nightmares are best enjoyed with an audience.

Four tales. One historic setting. Absolutely no guarantee you’ll sleep soundly afterward.
