Imagine going back in time to the mid-80s. You are at home listening to your favorite heavy metal station, and the DJ introduces a new band named Faster Pussycat. As you listen you try to classify their music, you hear heavy metal, hard rock, is that some bluesy sounds as well. Faster Pussycat has typically been considered a glam metal band, but this band prefers sleaze rock. You may be asking what the heck is sleaze rock? Think of sleaze rock as the bastard child of heavy metal, if you will. The music can be aggressive, rebellious, and definitely nasty. Faster Pussycat’s music has been compared to the boogie sleaze of Aerosmith, Guns N’ Roses grittiness, rounded out with the party-hearty attitude of Motley Crue. Doors open at 6:00 pm
