Writing his first country song at age 6 and getting a publishing deal at age 16 should tell you that Smith is the real deal. Smith grew up in Nashville, the mecca of Country Music, he wrote his first song at age 6. His good friend is a boy named Til, who happens to be Luke Bryan’s nephew. Bryan came to his nephew’s baseball game and read over a publishing deal contract for Smith. Smith signed that contract at age 16.
