Only in October in Great Falls, Montana!

October is a time of beauty and change.  The leaves take on new colors before falling to the ground and we’ve been known to get a snowstorm or two during the tenth month of the year.  It’s a great time to take a scenic drive or check out our eleven museums!  Just because we’ve bid farewell to summer and warmer temperatures doesn’t mean we’re slowing down. Here’s a look at some events you can only find right here in Great Falls, Montana this October!

Great Falls is playing host to the 2023 Indigenous Celebration Gathering of Families this October.  This jam-packed week-long event features celebrations, games, educational opportunities, and much more. • Great Falls’ very own comedian and musician Reggie Watts will return home to take the stage at The Newberry!  Reggie’s new book “Great Falls, MT: Fast Times, Post-Punk Weirdos, and a Tale of Coming Home Again” releases on October 17th!

• The History Museum hosts a fittingly October event called Beyond the Grave: Researching Death & Graveyard Records with Dr. Jan Thompson.
• Do some candy corn bowling, ghost golfing, and apple tossing at the Good Wood Guys Pumpkin Patch!
• Fun for the whole family awaits at Giant Spring State Park’s Fishing for Pumpkins event!
