Montana’s first ski hill is a short drive away from Great Falls in the Little Belt Mountains. Showdown has a base elevation of 6,800 feet and a top elevation of 8,200 feet. There is plenty of space to ski and snowboard on this 640-acre park and it averages 240 inches of snowfall per year. You will only ski or board on snow that falls from the sky, so this is an important number. There are 36 runs, 3 chairlifts, a surface conveyor for beginners and an award-winning ski patrol available. The ski hill offers gear rentals, a pro shop, daycare, ski school, two restaurants and a bar! It’s the full ski experience. There is no lodging available at Showdown, so check out the lodging options in Montana’s Basecamp (that’s Great Falls).
