Gibson Park is one of fifty-seven city parks, and it’s the premiere park for our fine city. You’ll see hours of operation below. We don’t really close the park, it is just available for recreation from dawn to dusk every day. This is where you’ll be able to visit with our resident bird population, just not during the winter as the ponds turn into public skating areas, because the water is frozen, and the birds head to the Honker Hilton. The park is an access point for The River’s Edge Trail system, has a band shell, floral gardens, a play structure, and basketball courts.
