This session offers a behind-the-scenes look at the FBI’s role in investigating art and cultural heritage crimes. Special Agent Sean Dudley will walk attendees through the FBI’s Art Theft Program and Art Crime Team, highlighting how the Bureau works in partnership with museums, galleries, auction houses, and private collectors. The presentation will include examples from recent art crime cases and an introduction to the FBI’s National Stolen Art File, a key tool used to track and recover stolen works and cultural property. Attendees can expect a thoughtful discussion on how these crimes impact institutions and communities, and how collaboration plays a critical role in protecting our shared cultural heritage.
