Full Moon Hike

Explore North America’s largest buffalo jump under “The Hunter” full moon at First People’s Buffalo Jump State Park. Arrive early to take a stroll around the Visitor’s Center and pay the low low hike fee of $4. This 3.5-mile hike will begin at 5:30 pm where you will be guided by the knowledgeable Ranger Andy. You will experience the best Montana sunset along the hike to be concluded with the rising of the moon all while learning about the history of the First People’s Buffalo Jump. Hiking has been known to make folks snackish so don’t forget to bring water and snacks along with your best weather appropriate hiking fashion! While they do love to see the park packed, spots for this hike are limited so make sure to call ahead to reserve your spot!
