Rebecca and Mari finally have their first dam art expert on the podcast. Both have interviewed the her about the 1st Ave Underpass Mural before, but have failed miserably. So, this third time, it was a charm. Listen in as Joan Redeen from the Business Improvement District tells us some secrets about the best mural in Great Falls, Montana.

Paint went on the walls in 2012, but the project was in the works year before at the Business Improvement District.

See the High School Senior’s Vision come to life with the Bubbalo. (South side of the mural).

Each Buffalo/Bubbalo was personalized by the artists, with Great Falls’ inspirations.

Murals should last 10-20 years if they are properly sealed and protected.

The South Side is all of the surrounding areas of Basecamp.

The North Side starts by Park Drive with the Vinegar Jones Cabin, historic train, and transitions into modern buildings that are in Great Falls, as well as the Trolley.

Vinegar Jones Cabin was the first cabin built in Great Falls in 1884, and in 2002 it was moved from its original location to Gibson Park.

11,000 square feet if mural – with over 4,000 hours!

The North Side of the mural started in 2013.
