The 24th Annual Art Auction and Exhibition at Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art is the premiere social event in north central Montana connecting art collectors with contemporary art and artists. It is always a summer evening event filled with lively music, dynamic people, and amazing art!

The Auction will be comprised of a sustained online bidding component open to all starting July 30, 2021 running through August 20, 2021, which proved to be successful for us last year! This year there will also be a ticketed in-person VIP Auction Event at The Square on August 20, 2021 at the museum from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Visit us at on our website to find out more.

We are excited to bring back a live summer event, limited in numbers and Covid-19 Safe. The in-person component of the auction will be followed by a Summer Concert on the museum grounds starting at 8:00pm.

The Annual Art Auction is the Museum’s primary fundraising event. Funds raised through this event support the very core of the Museum! Because of your contribution it is possible for us to foster relationships with artists, create critically engaging exhibitions, provide proper care of our collections and historical building, and produce stimulating education programming in the fine arts and the humanities. Thank you!

The Square is proud to announce our Special Guest Auction Juror, Robert Harrison.

Harrison is a practicing artist who lives and works in Helena, Montana, USA. He has built his 40+ year career in the site-specific large-scale architectural sculpture realm along with smaller-scale studio activity. His exhibition and installation record is extensive and global. Robert’s 35+ year association with the Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts began in the summer of 1982 as a summer Resident Artist and from 1983-85 he was a full-time Resident Artist. In 1993 he was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Bray and served as President of the Board from 1998-2004, overseeing the first capital campaign at the Bray and construction of new year-round resident artists studios and resident center. He continues to serve on the facilities committee. His book Sustainable Ceramics: A Practical Guide was co-published by Bloomsbury (London) and the American Ceramic Society (Ohio) in the fall of 2013. Robert is currently working on several large-scale site-specific projects both nationally and internationally along with his ongoing exploration of studio work.
