Your monthly to-do list for September in Great Falls is here. Fall is starting and we’re going to give you ten things to do that don’t involve pumpkin spice lattes. While Big River Ruckus is this month, September 10th-12th, 2021 and has 38 events in and of itself, there are plenty of other events throughout the month that will keep you busy.

  1. See the fall foliage in town and at Sluice Boxes State Park. Sunsets are starting to get earlier, so you don’t have to wait until 9:00 PM for the skies to get colorful.
  2. If you’re more of a sunrise person, make sure you get your spot for Sunrise Yoga at Gibson Park on September 11th.
  3. We Love Beer, and if you do too – join us at The History Museum for beer and brewery aficionado Steve Lozar’s presentation.
  4. If you don’t want to watch someone talk about beer, and you’d rather compete in a beer run while celebrating MOtoberfest, the MOtober Mile is for you (and three friends).
  5. Do you know the story behind our podcast episode, The Search for Ripe Bananas? It’s all about how amazing The Great Falls Symphony is, and the symphony is starting back up again this month!
  6. We know we said that last month was  “A Month Full of Art” but honestly, we have art and art events every month. Arts on Fire is this September and has hands-on art events, theatrical performances, vendors, Chamber 101, and more!
  7. The Mister Sisters sold out their BINGO night at KellerGeist Pub Theater, but you’re in luck – you can reserve your spot for their September BINGO night now!
  8. 1,500 luminarias are waiting for you, along with music, food, and vendors during this year’s Luminaria Walk.
  9. The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers is one of the coolest stores in Great Falls, and they also will teach you how to make beautiful socks. Sign-up now so you’re ready for the fall weather.
  10. Star Parties are back and we’re thrilled to invite you to the Star Party at First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park this month!
