Your monthly to-do list for visiting Great Falls this August is here. We don’t want to lie to you, it’s pretty long and we only listed 10. We know you can’t do it all, so choose wisely because you don’t want to miss out.

  1. Get to the Montana State Fair and eat your weight in fair food. If you are still awake afterward, check out one of the many live performances there, like for KING & COUNTRY, Travis Tritt, Terry Fator, Kodi Lee, Chevelle, and more.
  2. Obsessed with yourself? Find a new spot to take a selfie during this year’s ArtsFest Montana.
  3. Dust off your old vinyl, and listen to them while being bothered by a German.
  4. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Except for The Vegas Variety Show that is coming to Great Falls. So that saying is now wrong.
  5. Karaoke, literally almost anywhere in Great Falls, any night of the week.
  6. Be traumatized for life after hunting for ghosts at Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art.
  7. Reenact the 174th episode of The Office at the 16th Annual Fur Ball at the Heritage Inn.
  8. Watch people spend more money in 60 seconds than you have in your life savings during auctions held during Special Edition Western Art Week.
  9. Skip TSA and security checkpoints and catch a mimosa flight at the Sip n’ Dip Lounge during their Mimosa Sampler Saturday.
  10. Street parties are our thing. And this month, there will be three. So cash in that PTO, start your weekend earlier, and enjoy a Downtown Summer Block Party, Chris Bandi at our first Downtown Summer Jam, and Jackson Dean at our other Downtown Summer Jam.
