Seether, a multi-platinum rock radio anthem-making machine from South Africa will be in Great Falls for the final day of the Montana State Fair, Saturday, August 4, 2018. Over the course of their 16-year career, they have amassed 20 Top 5 singles, 3 platinum records, a gold-selling DVD and several number 1 singles including Let You DownFine AgainFake It, and their infamous cover of Careless Whisper. Seether has been recognized by the South African Music Awards, MTV Africa Music Awards, and the Revolver Golden Gods Awards. Seether takes the stage at 7:30pm, and until then, more than 1,000 adventures await in Great Falls; how will you create your perfect weekend in the basecamp?

Day Before

Arrive the day before to experience the Wissota Race of Champions at the Electric City Speedway. The thrilling action that only the Speedway can provide will get your blood pumping and adreneline soaring in anticipation of the hard-rock that awaits you on Saturday night.

8am
You’ve got an action-packed day ahead of you, so breakfast will be a must. Perkins, located in the heart of downtown Great Falls, offers the best buttermilk pancakes in town and my personal favorite the strawberry French Toast. Whatever you order, you’ll leave full and ready for the day!

10am
After having witnessed the barons of bash and the kings of crash last night, it will be refreshing to see pristine cars in show condition at the Flawless Auto Body Car Show. All makes, models, and years of cars, trucks, and motorcycles will be on display for the 50th annual show. Grant Stebbins & The Instigators will perform your favorite song live during the show! Their blend of original and covers of your favorite rock tunes will help you get in the mood for an amazing night of live music from Seether!

12:30pm
You’re minutes away from Black Eagle Falls, so spend the afternoon exploring Memorial Island located along a scenic section of the River’s Edge Trail. While there, enjoy a picnic as you view the majestic force of the first of the 5 falls on the Missouri River. As you look north, you’ll see the remnants of the big stack, which was central to Great Falls smelting and mining history. From Memorial Island, experience the River’s Edge History Walking Tour. This self-guided tour will take you to a 2,500-year old Native American archaeological site, railroad lines, the remnants of the city’s large-scale hard rock mining, and to the location of Merriweather Lewis‘ famed grizzly encounter.

2pm
It’s getting close to the concert, and to feel your best, stop by the Holiday Village Mall to experience real shopping and get the gear you’ll need to look your best. New t-shirts, jeans, shades, trucker hats, maybe even get some glam rocker nails. You will be ready to rock and will certainly stand out from the crowd!

4pm
With gear in hand, head over to West Bank Landing (across the street from the action at the Fair) for BBQ at the Front and a pint of beer from Jeremiah Johnson Brewing Company. Outside seating will give you a preview of what’s to come, and the Big Meal deal will fill you up so you can rock all night. A local favorite, Golden Bobcat, a pale ale that pairs perfectly on a summer night. The night’s crowd will be fellow Seether fans waiting for the show to begin, so you’ll be in good company!

5:30pm
After having your fill of BBQ and beer, stroll the fairgrounds. Go to the 3 Rivers Stage to hear the Nick Crawford Band. When was the last time you took a spin in a large tornado, or experienced the legendary Cliffhanger? Enjoy a few rides to get your adrenaline pumping again!

7pm
Prepare to rock out inside 4 Seasons Arena. Before you know it, the stage lights dim, the crowd cheers, and Seether takes the stage. This is the moment you’ve been waiting for, and you realize that it was the unexpected moments from the weekend you’ll carry with you. There are plenty of great options for staying close to the Montana ExpoPark and the Holiday Village Mall. Check out a list of lodging properties for staying in Montana’s Basecamp that will make your trip memorable.
