If you’re a fan of human error, family, and of course redneck jokes, you might be planning on seeing Jeff Foxworthy at the Montana State Fair August 3! Jeff Foxworthy is one of the most respected and successful comedians in the country and has been inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame, and hi style has been compared to Mark Twain’s. Before you experience the live comedy of Jeff Foxworthy, we’ll show you how to experience 1,000 adventures in the basecamp; are you ready for an amazing day?

8am
You’ll need a great breakfast, and there’s a cozy diner we think Jeff would enjoy; who knows, you might see him enjoy pie, biscuits and gravy, or an omelette at 2Ks. As one of the stops on the famed Pie ala Road map of Central Montana, you’ll find a great breakfast with generous portions that will fuel your day!

10am
With the Missouri River running through the heart of the city, there are several access points that make it easy to enjoy a Stand Up Paddleboard adventure on a gorgeous summer day. Broadwater BayOddfellows ParkWest Bank Park and Wadsworth Park has access points to get your SUP fix. If you don’t have your own equipment, rentals are available to help you explore the great outdoors in Great Falls.

11:30am
By now, you’re ready to strecth your legs and experience Great Falls best park. Gibson Park, the crown jewel of the park system, is on the edge of downtown Great Falls and abuts the Missouri River. Walk around the 1.5-mile park loop and take a picture with the geese and the statue of city founder Paris Gibson.

1pm
On a summer afternoon, there’s nothing better than a pint of cold craft beer. After your trek to the Great Falls, head downtown to the Mighty Mo Brewing Company, where you can enjoy a pint of (my favorite) Dam Fog, a light and crisp ale, outside. If you’re hungry, the Mo offers a full menu of salads, wings, pizza, and more. While outside, you’re bound to strike up a conversation with a local or another fan looking forward to seeing Jeff Foxworthy; enjoy sharing your favorite Foxisms!

4:30pm
One thing (beside the rides, food, and music) I look forward to at the Montana State Fair is getting a caricature of me. If my husband is game, he’ll join me. If not, I leave with a one-of-a-kind portrait of me that makes me laugh and reminisce whenever I see it! Find the caricature artist at the fair this year; you’ll walk away with a great piece of folk art!

6:30pm
What’s a night at the fair without food?! Hands-down, everyone’s favorite is the Ranchero Cow Pie from GuttBusters. Have you had a juicy burger topped with pepperjack cheese, special ranch sauce and chilies, and (of course!) then deep-fried? When you order this, pick up a few napkins, and then a few more, and then maybe some extra!

7pm
Enjoy the thrills and action of Professional Rodeo Cowboy’s Association (PRCA) sanctioned Big Sky Pro Rodeo’s Tough Enough to Wear Pink night. Watch as some of the best PRCA riders, ropers, and clowns compete. Perfect for the whole family, the sportsmanship and adventure will leave you wanting more; the final night of the Big Sky Roundup Rodeo is tomorrow, so you’ll want to come back to see how it ends.

9pm
Now for the main event! Get ready to laugh, to think, and to experience Jeff Foxworthy‘s groundbreaking comedy!

There are plenty of great options for staying close to the Montana ExpoPark. Check out a list of lodging properties for staying in Montana’s Basecamp that will make your trip memorable.
